DCD candy/sweets

This week at Die Cut Dreams the challenge is Candy/Sweets. Loads of ways to interpret that =).

I made a gift box and the candy is stamped, glossed and I put a large glue dot under to make it bulgy. Template for the gift box I found here.

Allsorts monochrome

This week at Allsorts the challenge is monochrome (to use only one colour on your creation, it can be various nuances but only one main colour).

My colour is green and it's a card I made for my daughter's boyfriend who turned 20 recently. I really like the accordion flower, so easy to make and such a lovely effect - especially on male cards to get away from all those girly roses =). I put glue on the ends of the string, rolled it around a stick and let it dry to get those curly ends. Distress ink used: Forest Moss.

DCD anything but a card

This week at Die Cut Dreams the theme is Anything but a card. And... well... this is not a card =)

I used a piece of stone I found this summer by the ocean. Glued a candle holder, fastened a tag and some flowers and I have a living room decoration =).

Golden card

Yesterday I went to a craft fair and sold all my match boxes, loads of gift boxes and most of my Christmas cards. What was I thinking? Now I have no cards for myself...
And I promised to be on the Christmas market my sister has arranged the first weekend of December...
And the expansion to WoW comes out December 7...
I'm guessing it will be slightly hectic during next week =)

So I've started building up my Christmas card stock with this project.

Challenges:

Totally Tilda - gold and glitz

DCD Christmas club - anything goes

Simon says - sparkle

A spoon full of sugar - distressing

Just Magnolia - white plus one

Allsorts lace, ribbon, charm

This week at Allsorts we have a recipe for you: lace, ribbon and charm. I took a horrible picture of this cause the sign has a very pretty ribbon bow on top but I managed to cut that out of the picture...
It's a wooden sign for the downstairs bathroom, using a Meljen image, coloured in Pumice stone, some flowers - the newspaper one is home made - some punched paper lace from MS and a pretty little angel charm.

SFTW Winter

This fortnight at Stampin for the Weekend the theme is Winter.

I solved that by making a card using the adorable penguin digi images from digistamp boutique. I embossed some snow flakes on the TH paper and the alphabet is banana split. Distress ink: Tumbled glass.

DCD using staples

This week at Die Cut Dreams we want you to use staples on your work. And staples really are the coolest thing cause you can use them all over the place AND they fasten things at the same time =).

I made this year's family wish list to hang on the fridge. Stamped and distressed background, TH flower die (using tulle every other layer) and the alphabet Supermarket.

Allsorts sketch

This Saturday I'm not at home so with any luck this scheduled post is live all by itself =). I'm at a scrap event all day and I'm sure it'll be a blast, they usually are, not very productive but great fun =).

So at Allsorts this week we have a sketch for you. I used papers mostly from Panduro, ribbon also, and an image from Magnolia. Distress ink used: Pumice stone.

If I had used a Penny Black image this card would have been good for the november challenge cause it's Christmas - but maybe you'll go for the combination =)

DCD door hanger

This week at Die Cut Dreams we want you to create a door hanger and on the DT we got to play with the pre-cut hangers from the DCD shop.

I used a Magnolia image and a mix of home-made and bought flowers, distressed and stamped the background and cut out a heart by sheer improvisation.

Blue Tilda

So this is the end of the weekend and the autumn holiday - back to work tomorrow!

This evening I have a christmas ornament I made for Totally Tilda (blue and silver) and Magnolia Down Under (make your own embellishment). It also fits A spoon full of sugar (relish to embellish) and the ABC challenge (G is for glitter).

I made an accordion flower using regular cardstock and embossed some swirls along one edge. The lace doily was a bit large so I crumbled it slightly (there's a circle of blue cardstock on the backside so it still looks nice) and the silver ribbon is fastened between the doily and the back cardstock). The bow is separate and just glued to the front.

These ornaments will work in the tree, as a bottle decoration or as a fancy tag on a christmas present cause you can write on the back. Very versatile, and it's my tip of the day so I can enter it in Top Tip Tuesday =).

(each fold on the accordion flower is 1/4 " and the cardstock is 12" x 1 and 3/4")

Allsorts - poem inspiration

At Allsorts this week Fleur is in charge and she wants you to get inspiration from the poem
"TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS"
by Clement C. Moore (read it here)

I made this framed card, coloured the Magnolia image in vintage photo, distressed the whole situation with the same colour and added a little colour with the holly and the red string. The printed paper is from Panduro. I used beads instead of brads on the sentiment, therefor it's eligeble for Just Magnolia's monthly challenge.

SFTW - sketch with a twist

It's time for another fortnightly challenge at Stampin for the Weekend and this time we have a great sketch for you. I made my calendar page for November using this lovely WoJ image, coloured in Pumice stone. Papers are TH and the butterflies in the corner is a required twist to the sketch =).

DCD and Penny Black at Allsorts

This morning I have two DT projects for you; at Die Cut Dreams the theme this week is No colouring in, featuring a heart and at Penny Black at Allsorts the challenge for November is Christmas.

So, first out is my work for DCD. I made a heart shaped box and used one of DCD:s die cut bears as the main image. Loads of dew drops coloured with alkohol ink Latte.

And the work for Penny Black at Allsorts is the stamp called 3911K christmas friends, used as a background on paper distressed with peeled paint and fired brick. As usual there are amazing prizes so hurry on over.
